Established in 1997, Tahi Engineering is a friendly family run business based in West Sussex covering all Southern Counties on small and large scale projects.
We carry out a wide range of surveys to suit a variety of budgets and clients needs.

SHANE JONES NZCLS, FRGS

New Zealand born Shane Jones entered the Surveying world after gaining his New Zealand Certificate in Land Surveying. Since then, he has been very fortunate to have been able to work around the world, including Islands of Brunei, Nuie (South Pacific Islands), Micronesia, Egypt, St Vincent & The Grenadines, Bermuda and Jersey to name a few on wide range of projects.

In 1997, Shane came to UK to pursue his career in surveying and gain further experience working overseas.

With over 25 years experience working on different size projects from small residential house topographical surveys to The Shard, London, as built survey, Shane will always accommodate to any clients requirements.

SERVICES

Topographical Surveys

Tahi Engineering undertakes Topographical surveys for future developments of land. These include earthwork calculations, design and construction requirments.

As Built Surveys

As Built documents are an important requirement of a construction contract. The as builts are to show the finished condition of the work as it was actually constructed and accepted.
Tahi Engineering carries out a wide range of as built surveys. These range from the Shard, London to an extention to schools.

Setting Out Surveys

Setting out Surveys involves transferring a building design onto the land itself so the builders can follow it during construction.
Tahi Engineering performs a wide range of setting out surveys, These involve construction of roads, steel column positionings, piling, building grid lines and level datums.

Elevations Drawings

Elevation drawings are required to keep a record of how a building looks before and after works have been completed.

Floor Plans

Tahi Engineering uses a Total Station together with distos to produce accuate floor plans rapidly

3D Earthworks Modelling

Creation of 3D models to show the cut and fill on site. This allows quantities of materials that either to be added or taken away prior to the commencement of earthworks.

Monitoring

As a precaution for any signs of structural movement surrounding the site. Monitoring surveys are carried out before and during the contruction phase.
